I have featured these on the Eyecatchers Gallery but thought would re~feature them here also as they have had loads of comments from family and friends who like to use them . . . . I have to say that the places featured on them are some of my favourite houses in the Nelson district . . . .

In celebration of all things summery I thought I would do some"flower" brooches ~ these will be gifts for some lovely people that have been ever so helpful ~ just a little "thank~you" present . . . . the above red lily is in my garden and it's the first year that it's had a large number of flower buds on the one stem . . . . truly stunning!

Just thought would post this up ~ my wonderful sister sent me this gift that she finished recently and she made it out of such simple things, ie. boxed~canvas, hand~napkin, paint and abit of varnish but the result I think is rather stunning and it's now gracing a section of my wall in the kitchen ~ I just LOVE it!

Yes, some more stitching going on here . . . . "winged things" being on the agenda and I've made these wonderful little Brooches that friends have been loving! Small birds, dragonflies, ladybirds, beetles ~ have all been on my list . . . . any ideas as to what else I could stitch~up?

Wow, I can't believe it's nearing the end of 2011 . . . . and what a year it's been! I feel like I've achieved pretty much all the goals that I've set and some more, which is amazing for me! The above is taken from the Nostalgic Nelson 2011 Calendar and the house is one that I simply adore ~ wouldn't mind living there myself!

I had a fab day last Saturday at the Ka Pie Market . . . . a friend had arranged to have a stall, so went along and showed off some of me crafty creations I had made recently and had loads of great feedback . . . . I have to say I enjoyed the laid~back atmosphere, good company and delicious food that was on offer ~ the Carrot and Cream Cheese Cake was simply devine!

I have to say that the weather here at the moment has been rather nice ~ we've had cool sunny days and because of the extended hours in the evening it means I can go out and take a walk (I'm trying to get abit fitter, you see) . . . . here's some photo's I've taken recently looking over our Nelson Beach looking out to Tasman Bay . . . .

I have to say that I am enjoying the warmer days that we are starting to get and it also means new growth . . . . plenty of blossum on the plum tree in the back yard.
